Small Business Recovery Support - 2025 Western Queensland Surface Trough

About

The $3.4 million Small Business Recovery Support  Package will proactively support the economic and social recovery, and well-being of small business owners impacted by the disaster event, ensuring business continuity and stability.

The outcomes of the package include:

  • Event impacted small businesses have access to financial case management and wellness support aiding in disaster recovery, improved financial stability, and reducing long-term vulnerability to future disruptions.
  • Eligible small business owners are supported in re-establishing operations, securing employment, and stabilising cash flow.
  • Eligible small businesses have access to grant assistance to cover wages and essential costs and continue operating.
  • Local economic recovery efforts are enhanced by supporting small businesses' recovery and continuing to serve their communities.
  • Enhanced disaster preparedness, strengthening business continuity planning. 

Funding acknowledgement

The package is jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland Governments to support Queensland communities in their recovery from the Western Queensland Surface Trough and Associated Rainfall and Flooding 21 March – 19 May 2025.
