Carpentaria Shire Council will receive more than $22 million to repair the vital Mitchell River Crossing along Dunbar Koolatah Road
The project is jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland governments through the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA).
A new $5 million package to help pay for community recovery costs and resilience initiatives, as well as ramp up mental health support, is now available for Queenslanders impacted by recent disaster events in the state’s flood-affected north-west.
A support package of up to $12 million is now available for primary producers, small businesses and not-for-profits in the hardest hit flood-affected communities across northern and western Queensland.
As the clean-up continues following the monsoon and flooding event in northern and central Queensland, more disaster support is being made available to impacted communities.
More assistance is being rolled out to Queensland communities severely affected by the ongoing monsoon floods.
