The $2.4 million Small Business Recovery Support Package will offer support case workers and financial counselling to help small business operators recover and build more resilient businesses following the Tropical Cyclone Alfred and Associated Severe Weather, 1 - 16 March 2025 event.
The outcomes of the package will ensure:
- Event impacted small businesses have access to immediate financial and mental health support to prevent insolvency and closure.
- Small businesses are supported through targeted assistance and professional services that assist in their recovery and resilience.
- Small business owners are supported in re-establishing operations, securing employment, and stabilising cash flow.
- Local economic recovery efforts are enhanced by ensuring small businesses can continue to serve their communities.
Funding acknowledgement
The package is jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland Governments to support Queensland communities in their recovery from the Tropical Cyclone Alfred and Associated Severe Weather, 1 - 16 March 2025 event.
